The President's Agenda
The President has established his agenda and aims to pass at least seven out of the ten goals he has listed. The President's goals consist of creating a Constitutional amendment to give the President a line item veto, creating a Constitutional amendment to create a federal marriage law, provide $20 billion to the Department of Defense to fund American military forces involved in military action, provide $20 billion to the Department of Homeland Security to secure American borders and coastal areas, create a federal tax credit up to $2,000 for single individuals and (up to $4,000) for families, support tort reform, support leasing the Arctic/Alaskan refuge to American oil companies, provide $10 billion to the Department of Energy to be used for grants to energy companies who are involved in researching and developing alternative energy, create a Constitutional amendment that makes abortion illegal in all 50 states, and provide $5 billion to the Department of Housing and Urban Development for a mortgage foreclosure.
Details about the President's agenda are allowing the President to cut out parts of a bill that are too expensive or not useful, protecting America's values, money is needed to successfully complete military mission in Afghanistan, money is needed to secure the U.S. from terrorists' attacks, money will be used to create a tax break for individuals/families and will stimulate the economy, tort reform will help eliminate needless needless and expensive lawsuits that are destroying the insurance industry and court system, reduce America's reliance on foreign oil, encourage research and development for alternative fuels, and the President believes that abortion is immoral and wrong.
The President is opposed to the legalization of marijuana and all tax increases, including tariffs. Our President is also opposed to hospital "subsidies" for uninsured assistance programs, increasing federal minimum wage, shutting down the Guantanamo Bay Prison facility, and is opposed to any immigration policy that does not include a requirement immigrants must learn English and federal penalties for American businesses hiring illegal immigrants.
